Various help and cures when dealing with rosacea

By James Robertson

Rosacea sufferers at this time will have various sources for help with their ailment. Many treatments are readily available over the counter from chemists. Some alternative practitioners are also offering a wide range of rosacea cures and remedies. Although rosacea can be treated a complete cure will elude the majority of us therefore the best help would be to try to slow down the progress of it.

It usually commences with that facial redness usually on the face cheeks. Sometimes it will appear on the nose, forehead or chin, sometimes the upper regions of the body may well be affected. Firstly rosacea makes the person look like they are blushing until the skin will become red full time.

Many individuals experience itching, burning, or rashes. Eventually, little bumps or pimples develop, blood vessels become visible, and eyes become irritated and look watery. In the worst cases, the skin on and around the nose thickens, leading a bulbous and bumpy appearance.

Not any of us are immune from rosacea but it does tend to go for the female who is fair skinned and with a tendency to be able to blush easily but when the male is targeted it will manifest itself with severe symptoms.

When dealing with help for rosacea it will larely depend on what tends to trigger a flare up and these flare ups differ from us all. Known causes of rosacea include the following: Stress, sudden temperature change, foods. caffeine, mites, bacteria, personal care type products and even some presciption drugs. Even alcoholic drinks will annoy it but having said that it is not usually the cause of rosacea.

Life style changes can significantly reduce discomfort. Experts suggest keeping a diary, noting activities and foods consumed just prior to a rosacea flare-up. Learning personal triggers substantially alleviates symptoms. Meticulous skin care with gentle, non-irritating formulations is a must.

The sad thing is that rosacea is both a progressive and chronic ailment however once we begin to modify our activities and foods cures of a temporary nature can be achieved.
