Using your food processor, grind it and add a little amount of water to make a paste. Apply all over the face or only on the blemishes, leave on for a few minutes, then wash off with water.

Orange or lemon rind is mildly acidic. That's why it can dry up those zits. It also works great on lightening dark scars left behind because it also has a natural bleaching effect. You may also use lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for lightening scars; simply daub on those spots and allow to stay for some minutes.

Reasons why breakouts surface are plenty, and one of those is clogged up pores. This is often caused by trapped dirt and excessive oil. Facial scrubs available these days can be harsh for your skin. Do a home-made version by combining 1 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup olive oil. Rub gently on your face for mild exfoliating action.

Stripping off excess oil may be done also with the use of masks. You can make one by beating the white of an egg until it's foamy. Apply all over the face. As it dries, you should feel your skin beginning to get taut. Rinse off thoroughly with water. Other than egg white, you may also use oatmeal that's been cooked. But make sure it's cooled down fully.
